hornets information.
The last couple of months, Shepard and I looked into some of the suspected Hornets on the list that Annie got from Captain Ananke. The findings are below.
Shepard's Findings
• Benjamin Braunstein had repeated encounters with some criminals, and Shepard went to speak to these criminals.
• One was Hotrod, AKA Jason Levine, who hasn't seen Benjamin since he busted Hotrod for drug trafficking in 2006.
• Hotrod gave Shepard the location for Jimmy.
• Jimmy and Hotrod weren't forthcoming with details, and they haven't seen Benjamin for some time.
• Shepard also looked into Liana Greenwood, who had a self-proclaimed nemesis in Francine Dale, who is currently serving prison time in upstate Virginia.
• Francine saw Liana prior to the 2008 incident, but she had been her same "cocky self." She's not happy that she didn't get the chance to kill Liana herself (and seemed surprised that she got hurt at all).
• She's extremely angry about this.
• Shepard also looked into Veronica Conway/Nitestar, who didn't run into the same criminals multiple times.
• These criminals claim they saw her in late 2008 in Orlando, but they were inebriated and the person they claimed was Veronica had her hood drawn up. She disappeared soon after (if it was her at all).
Kate's Findings
• Richard Peter Wayne has no surviving family, and his ex-girlfriend says that she never got to know the "real" him.
• He grew up in a poorer part of Maurtia Falls. Even when he could have moved out, he chose not to, and he didn't like other heroes encroaching on his turf.
• He used a recurve bow, and he never missed his targets, and his only trick arrows were more of the practical kind (tracking devices, pepper gas/smoke, shields, and bombs). He made these all from scratch.
• The only hero on his turf was Eleni Wang.
• There was nothing to indicate that he might still be alive, but the only person there didn't seem to know him well. Inconclusive.
• Eleni Wang's mother insists that Eleni not be connected to the Hornets. It does seem unlikely.
• She was never vocally pro-registration, but she was registered. This is normal, though, even now. Sometimes, it's just easier. She worked in the Behavioral Analysis Unit for the FBI before she left that position to teach psychology at a university and do hero work.
• She was in love with Richard Wayne, but they never entered a relationship. The reason for this is unknown.
• Her father believes she's still out there, and I got some information that she might be in Greece. I went over her belongings, and I saw her leaving her home with an urn. I think that looking into Greece might not be a bad idea, but I'm unsettled and I can't go without some hoop jumping. It'll be easier for someone else to take this on.
• But if you do decide to follow up on this lead, he pleads that no one try to force Eleni to come home. Her father insisted that she was in pain, and that she deserves some peace. Honestly ... I agree. But if she is there, and is willing to talk, I think it could do us some good. So, please keep that in mind.
• I tried looking into Adelaide Watson, and I came up with nothing. Sorry. This was strange.
• I also looked into Liana Greenwood, but from a different angle. I looked into her R&D company, which struggled to maintain clients and public interest.
• Her mother and brother are still alive. Her mom didn't really want to talk, but her brother was willing to speak to me.
• He thinks Liana has to be dead, because she wouldn't hide away from her family all this time. From what I understand, Liana and her brother were very close. He believes she would have told him before she left. He is curious about why any heroes would go into hiding, unless they had a good reason for it, Hornets or otherwise.
