I'm in the process of collecting and organizing all information about imPorts and this world into a wiki, and I have reposted your Faq on it, which will hopefully be even better with all of the interactive links it will eventually have!
It's up to you if you want to keep using the original post (if you do, can you let me know when you update it???) or if you want to start using this one instead!
Actually, can we not make the FAQ open source? I went against open source for a reason!
[Largely, Kate doesn't want any of the information skewed by other sources, and a Wiki means that anyone can change what's available. Too much misinformation is around.]
If you would like to link, that's great, but I can look into adding in HTML to direct to specific questions! I have contingencies set up to make sure that other people maintain the FAQ even if I'm Ported out. I'd like to keep my own main document as the source for a variety of reasons.
I don't think security is really a concern! The site is hosted on the MirrorNet which is an encrypted sub-channel of the network, so only imPorts will be able to see it!
The encryption is sufficient to prevent any computer with local technology from being able to break it within several hundred years!
It seemed like your main concern was being unable to control it's content, which you would be able to if editing is locked!
I'm not really interested in the FAQ being hidden on a private network. There's a reason why it's not, and it's because linking to the private network will alert the government every time it happens. Not everyone wants to engage with the content we post on there, either.
Yeah, there's a reason why the FAQ is neutrally worded and meant not to raise any flags. I'll loudly argue against the government left and right, but I want this to be something that sticks around for everyone in the future.
