Finley interview

• Salvatore Quisma had come from a world where superpowers were not all too common, but those who had them offered their services to the public, like he did. He always had an interest in pubic service.
• His powers were related to possession and astral projection. If there were limitations on them, she wasn't aware, nor did she pry out of Quisma's personal safety. Kate would add a handwritten note after her typed up notes that Thomas confirmed this.
• He used these powers to assist in homicide cases with various police stations between the Porter cities and small towns where they didn't have enough man power or resources to conduct a proper investigation.
• He was still single at the time Finley interviewed him.
• The regime took a drastic change thanks to the imPorts and the sect of the military insurgents, bringing to light the level of corruption and other abuse of power the current regime had exploited. They were able to pin corrupt officials with indisputable evidence, such as photos, recordings, files, etc. Once they were overthrown, people no longer feared possibilities such as being brought into custody on suspicion of treason for voicing their dissatisfaction with the government, or being suspected as having Soviet leanings/sympathies, or the constant surveillance the government had placed on the public in the name of national security. People truly felt free within their own country after a long period.
• There were certain hot topics journalists were discouraged or punished for pursuing prior to these changes. Anything that questioned the government's methods was met with fines and oftentimes journalists had their places of residence torn apart by the feds in search of anything that "might paint the government in the wrong light". They were accused of lies and slander at the time, which ruined some careers. Finley will express it's quite possible the journalists' families might have been threatened if the government wanted to shut down any dissent.
• With the corrupt officials out, there was a period where communication was not only stressed but made clear among imPorts, the military and government, and the public. However, even in the wake of these changes, there were some incidents that some suspected to be terrorist responses from some of these ex-officials, attacks upon newer military and government leaders that seemed reactionary and is likely where the general public was drawing still unprovable theories that said ex-officials might have been working in league with the Vanir. Finley knows very little about these attacks, as Quisma only ever alluded to them vaguely, which she'll point out as contradictory given his earlier statement had denied any existence and/or proof.
• On the subject of the Vanir, Finley will admit there was a long time in her life she felt it was her teenage gullibility that led her to believe in the rumors of the Vanir. Now that they have emerged, she's concerned that Quisma may have lied about ex-government officials funding the group and/or possibly being members. It would not have been the first time, she realized in her adult years, Quisma's responses were suspicious.
• The one that stands out the most to her is after the corrupt officials were overthrown, in the following years a few more officials were removed from their position. The accusation had been they had had ties to the previous oppressive government and military, although they claim none of that was true and they were wrongfully ousted. Quisma said back then he and his allies had evidence that tied them to corrupt ex-officials and continued illegal and oppressive activities such as surveillance and abuse of power just as the previous regime had.
•re: the Porter: It was a voluntary shutdown, though Finley, being a civilian, would not be able to definitively confirm this.
• She would also not know anything about Lachesis aside from the common myths surrounding her and her sisters.
