But I hadn't- I had hoped the situation wasn't going to escalate. I thought he might be like Melvin Potter. He thinks he got better. [He'd promised Matt he wouldn't interfere in his life.] And he's desperate for my approval. I don't know if he even knows what he did. But I'm not taking any chances.

I know what I'm capable of, but I know that Frank Castle would kick my ass.

He honestly believed he needed my help. When I set terms, he agreed to them, and he was honest about promising to abide by them. He believed he could keep his promises. He believed he could get better. That he was better.

[The problem is that believing something doesn't make it true.]

And maybe, for Harvey Dent, that's all true. But there's true, and there's true.

Well, if it comes to getting information and looking into stuff, I'd rather work with him.

[Which, to be fair, would also be Matt's preference. But he's got to work with what he's given, and he also never has to worry about Spidey running off and going on a murder bender.]
