Hey ... nothing came up, but I met Renee here. Why do you ask?

Kate Kane says she's disappeared, and she's one of the people who's somehow tangled up in my life I can't fully account for, yet. I wasn't sure how much of the City you'd researched, or if you might have known her if you were. My sticky friend came up with nothing.

I'll look into it. Kate's a friend. [She pauses, considering something.] How much do you know about her?

Much, much less than I should.

[His tone goes dark; he can't help it.]

She's keeping things from me. I'm trying to let her bring things up at her own pace. Whatever happened, it's complicated, and she doesn't necessarily want to talk about it.

[It's not Kate's place to say what's going on with the other Kate, so she pauses for a moment.]

I'll see what I can do.

[It's not like he can blame her if she is withholding stuff.]

Thanks. I'm not worried about all of that; it can wait. But if something's happened to Renee...

[He may need to have an ugly conversation with Harvey Dent.]

I'll make Renee my top priority. Though we could always skulk around the station.

[There's a pause.]

Well, you can. I get the feeling you'd be way more effective.

Depending on whether or not there was somebody besides Renee there who remembered me. [If someone remembers what Renee remembered, Matt turning himself in.] But it's true, the city at large doesn't think I'm a costumed vigilante. For once.

Right, and you might be able to hear if she hasn't turned up, or if her files are being transferred elsewhere ...

[Her voice is trailing off. Kate doesn't want to assume the worst. But. Well.]
