Hi, guys. It's time we talked about Frederick Chilton. Around two months ago, Billy and I entered a crime scene where I received the images of him being tortured via the power that they gave me here. (Psychometry. It sucks.) The reason for him being tortured was almost blatant. He had made a man believe he was someone else, a serial killer, and that man had taken revenge. "Made a man believe" was against his will, and so that he could claim fame as his doctor.
Dr. Chilton is claiming that I don't have proof, but I'm currently seeking it out. As it is, we should keep our distance. I don't think I can keep the entire imPort population away from him, but ... well, you're my team.
But what it ultimately comes down to is that you let it slip that you're investigating him. Do you know what a monumentally terrible decision that was?
How did he know? How much of what you know does he know? This is important. If he knows, he can control the information, and if there is any evidence, he'll know it needs to be concealed, and he'll have the chance to do so before you even know it exists.
What else haven't you mentioned? I need to know everything you know about this.
When he returned, I told him because what I witnessed was very personal. I explained that I intended to continue looking into it. He's already concealed the information.
I can write you up a transcript of the discussions with both Gideon and Chilton, as well as the one between them, if that would help.
it's not ha-ha funny. on one hand, no one deserves that. on the other hand, we're not always in the right frame of mind to judge (and by judge, I mean torture/kill/whatever) the people that hurt us.
I'm fairly certain that what Gideon did was partly (mostly) inspired by finding out from a third party (one that I'm not aware of) what his psychiatrist had done to him.
You're assuming the algorithm for unpredictability means that it's malfunctioning and not controlled by a being (thus making randomness almost a given).
Yeah, he cut conversation when I grilled him too harshly about his actions. He's got a great way of being wishy washy about his near-confessions, let me tell you.

Also, of course he's claiming you don't have any proof. Don't tell me you just confronted him expecting a confession.

It turned into "I would like to shake his hand to get proof."
But yeah, I should've mentioned it.

And the porter can take away what it gives. I've reason to conclude that means powers might be altered, too. I haven't looked into it yet.
