ROAD TRIP PLOTTING.

Hello all, this is the plotting post for the road trip to Brycha. They will be leaving on January 5, 2015, and they will be traveling up to Michigan while taking some (extremely tedious) side ventures to "sight see." The trip itself shouldn't take as long as it does, but thankfully, Brycha itself is not exactly a happening town.

Below, I'll have three categories! One category is "are you coming" so the mods know what is up. I'll be linking this to the mods so they have a good idea of what we're doing, and I'll get the plot request submitted tomorrow. If you're not in turned in yet, at least we'll have a good idea moving forward (and as you'll see, I've already made up a list of ideas of what they'll be doing anyway).

For those of you not on my plurk (or weren't at the time of the original plurk about this), the Young Avengers and Friends will be renting a giant party bus to road trip up to Michigan. Why are they road tripping when they have several magicians? Because that's what they do. This is almost purely for hipster irony. But when they get to Brycha, they will get down to work!

edit: THE PLOTTING REQUEST IS IN. please feel free to plot amongst yourselves. Also this plot ends after January 9th. They will be returning, with maybe leaving Kitty to bring back the party bus (or letting her hop on the bullet train and magicking away the party bus).

edit 2: FOR PEOPLE WONDERING WHERE A LOG IS, we need to wait on the mods to approve the Brycha half of things. I figure that they can trek up to Brycha either way, but what is the end result of that will be altered then.

IN A BIG WAY Kate will be directing people places and trying to temper everyone from doing something stupid that would get them run out of town. She can and will grab people and direct them back to the party bus or their hotel that they rented out the entirety of because I'm gonna be real here, no one's renting a hotel on the coast of Michigan in January, so there's a lot of vacancies.

Depending on what people want to do, she is going to make an active effort not to get anyone arrested. There's a difference between being unsubtle and getting arrested, so randomly breaking in to civilian houses will earn people being dragged back to the various abodes.

Her big goal here is to talk to people, to use her psychometry on anything and everything (this will whittle away at her patience and make her fussy because she holds on to those memories), and try to keep everyone organized. She will be relaying messages and asking for updates when people run off, and if anyone seems like they want to wander off somewhere randomly, they will get tracker put on them (Thomas and Kitty are definite candidates for this, with Kitty probably getting one slapped inside of her shoe in the van before they even get to Brycha).

you know it's actually kind of funny that once they get to brycha their priorities are going to be pretty similar. sure, they have their own investigative goals, but other than that it's making sure the rest of it doesn't end up a total disaster

Yeah, it'll be interesting because I think it'll be the first time Kanaya will see Kate in "responsible and not reckless" mode. Since she tends to operate differently when she's not responsible for someone!

i think it'll also be kate's first time actually seeing kanaya out in the field, or at least out in top form since she was worn out by the trip to sofia and idk if they really ran into each other there anyway. even if they had, the circumstances are different enough to showcase how they typically work a little better.
